Small Holdings

After the First World War returning soldiers had the opportunity to set up smallholdings with assistance from the government - at least two such were set up in Purley. There were several others whose origins are not quite clear which varied from poultry farms to orchards and fruit farms.

These are those we know about but we suspect others existed but are now forgotten.
